Privathaus Japan

Many janitors are attached to our hairdryers. They are often people who have remained loyal to a school, sports facility or swimming facility all their lives. As a result, they have carried out maintenance on our devices several times a year for over 25 years. Our devices are appreciated by the janitors because they know that they are safe and that the responsibility for a safe facility lies with the janitor. It is normal for an device to grow on you over the years. We know this phenomenon well in Switzerland.

So I was all the more surprised when we received a request for spare parts from Japan this year. The hairdryer had been in use in a private home since 1992. Unfortunately, we no longer had any spare parts for a hairdryer that was over 30 years old.

We in Switzerland and Japan have one thing in common: once you have a Rez hairdryer, you don’t want to give it back.

Emi Takeda / Japan / 2024:

‘’It’s a shame that there’s nothing you can do for this dryer. The owner is attached to the dryer, having a strong wish to continue using it, but it Can’t be helped if you can’t do anything …We’ll report this to the owner.’’
